This was another $5 Amazon surprise. I’m getting concerned that I’m overusing this method of researching new music. Oh well, I’ve never owned any Thin Lizzy, but I’m damn glad I do now. Damn glad. By the way, that’s a Michael Katon reference.
Without trying to distract you in an effort to hide my scant music knowledge, I’ll say this: Thin Lizzy is comfort music to me. It may be artistically complicated and contain subtle variations that deepen the listening experience, but I can’t tell. I don’t even know what that means.
I do know that when I hear Boys Are Back In Town, my mood elevates significantly. And when I hear Jailbreak, I get fired up. And when the Cowboy Song hits near the end of the album, I’m usually completely at peace with the world.
Can’t ask much more than that.
