Schaumburg Tournament Baer

Schaumburg has 27 holes and the Tournament Baer combo is the toughest by far, even if they don’t have the tees back on the eighteenth hole. See, I’m already making excuses for throwing down the first 90 of the season (I have to post an 89 though).

Speaking of excuses, I walked this round for the first time in a long time. It made clear that I’ve completely lost my way in this game. I used to be an avid walker, but now my feet start breaking down after nine holes. It’s a sure sign of old age and laziness, which I’m working to rectify with the 7-minute workout.

This was a throwaway round anyhow. It was lucky to have even happened. I was at a stopping point with some work by early afternoon on a rainy Thursday and checked the weather. It appeared to be clearing up (not warming up). Oh well, I hopped in the car and headed to Schaumburg hoping they’d have something around 3pm or so.

They did, and the course was beautiful. I walked for $43. Not a great deal necessarily, but certainly money well spent. The greens were the fastest I’ve played on all year and they were very true. This place was in awesome shape.

In wish I would have taken more pictures because the late afternoon sunlight was awesome

Here’s the damage:
