I go to about one hockey game annually and always wonder why I don’t attend more. I’m only a fair weather hockey fan but it’s getting more ingrained in my psyche. Unfortunately the Blackhawks lost 4-3, but it was an exciting game with a Blackhawks comeback from a 3-0 deficit and a fun pull-the-goalie ending. My pics aren’t great, but at least I got a good shot of a fight (above). We were in the lower bowl in section 113 I think, above the glass.

Bears vs Lions
Beautiful November day for the battle for the division lead between Bears and Lions. Bears lost, but it was a close, exciting game. Bears had a ton of chances. Cutler got hurt and down by eight, McCown took the Bears down the field in the last few minutes for a score but couldn’t convert on the two-point play. Tough one.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Texas Rangers
Busch Stadium was packed for a Friday night matchup against a very good Texas Rangers team. Lyons from St. Louis didn’t have good stuff and left in the second after allowing four runs. It was 4-4 at the end of two but the Rangers scored two on the 9th to win 6-4. We sat in a right field box for an Axa event and had a great time at Mike Shannon’s before.
B1G Tournament Session Two at United Center
The evening session was lesser quality hoops than the morning but fun nonetheless. Purdue had a chance in the last 20 seconds to win or tie versus Nebraska but couldn’t get anything to fall, so Nebraska moved on. Northwestern wasn’t really in the game with Iowa, although they did get within single digits in the second half. We had seats in section 302 about five rows from the top. They were quality seats and I paid less than $12 each for each session. Great deal on Stub Hub.
B1G Tournament Session One at United Center
We started off with a bang. Brandon Paul hit a jumper from the left side on an isolation play with zero time on the clock to carry Illinois to a 51-49 win over Minnesota. Buzzer beater, yeah! Then Michigan looked flawless after a slow start and put a beatdown on Penn State. Nice seats – section 320, fourth row, the binoculars were helpful though.
Good game tonight. Bucks got out to a big lead early but Northwestern went ahead late in the second half. The Bucks pressure D finally did in the Wildcats in the last few minutes. Final score Bucks 63-53. This pic is from our seats – center court in the third row (HHH) from the top ($35). Great seats. I need to make more visits to Welsh-Ryan.
